Drag Engraver - First Scratch

Jumping on the bandwagon after seeing some of those funky acrylic sheet led lights at the local market and thinking "I can do that". On further thinking they are probably a bit tacky but the wheels are in motion and turning back is no longer an option.

After purchasing all the required items, it was time to bite the bullet and start scratching up some acrylic. You can see the first drag engraving (note the spindle is not rotating)  attempt here:

Did a trial run to check out the look of different hatching densities. I thought it was prudent to at least test out the process before diving right in pumping out the final product.

After watching the grass grow/paint dry as the CNC router hatched at stupidly fine densities, the program finally ended with a surprisingly good result. I classify it as a success.
